Installing the PhotoFlair® plug-in module for Photoshop ver. 5.x, 6.x, 7.x, CS, Elements, and Image Ready on Windows

bulletDownload the Photoshop plug-in to your hard drive from the following:
bullet NOTE: download no longer available

bulletThe download file name will be “PhotoFlair_psp.exe”. This is a self extracting zip file and includes the PhotoFlair® Plug-in and the Help file for Photoshop versions 5.x and higher. The files included in the zip are listed below:
bulletPhotoFlair.8bf = PhotoFlair® Plug-in
bulletPhotoFlair.htb = PhotoFlair® Help File

bulletOnce you have downloaded the zip file to your hard drive you will need to extract the two files into your Photoshop “plug-ins/filters” directory.  This is done by double clicking the downloaded “PhotoFlair_psp.exe” file.  The unzip utility window will open; enter or browse to your Photoshop “plug-ins/filters” directory from the following selection.

bulletYour Photoshop “plug-ins/filters" directory location may vary depending on the version of Photoshop you have installed.  The default Photoshop “plug-ins/filters” directory locations for Windows are listed below (where “x” represents the Photoshop version you have installed.):
bulletVer 5.x (C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop 5.x\Plug-Ins\Filters)
bulletVer 6.x (C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop 6.x\Plug-Ins\Filters)
bulletVer 7.x (C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop 7.x\Plug-Ins\Filters)
bulletVer CS (C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop CS\Plug-Ins\Filters)
bulletPSE (C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\Plug-Ins\Filters)
bulletPSE3.0(C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 3.0\Plug-Ins\Filters)

bulletWhen you have entered or browsed to the proper directory from the above selection, click “Unzip”.  When done unzipping, it will display “2 file(s) unzipped successfully.” You have now extracted the PhotoFlair Plug-in filter and the Help file (PhotoFlair.8bf and PhotoFlair.htb) and can close the unzipping utility window.

bulletStart up Photoshop and you should see TruView > PhotoFlair® available in the “Filters” menu choice.

 If the PhotoFlair® Plug-in does not show up, it is because the files have not been extracted to the proper Photoshop “plug-ins\filters” directory.
