Solutions to Known Issues

 

  1. Portrait Mode does not produce desired results in the PhotoShop Plug-in.
     
  2. When Installing PhotoFlair® I get Missing file : INSTMSIA.EXE added 7/15/03
     
  3. When using Retinex or Autolevels on Mac 10.1.x PhotoFlair locks up and displays a message "return value: 67"
     
  4. When using batch processing with file or directory names containing consecutive spaces or a space followed by a hyphen the processing does not complete successfully. added 9/18/02
     
  5. Unable to use Thumbnail View with Explorer or the File open Dialog box in Windows ME/2000/XP only

The following issues are fixed in the current PhotoFlair® release. If you have any of these problems , please download the latest FREE PhotoFlair® Upgrade.

  1. When opening a file that contains  brackets in the file name, that file will not open (i.e. test[1].bmp).
     
  2. When opening a large image or sometimes even multiple images the message "Out of memory error" is displayed...
     
  3. When saving an image as a TIFF file you may have receive "unable to write TIFF" error.
     
  4. When PhotoFlair® was installed it associated it self with most of the common image file extensions (i.e., .bmp, .jpg, and .tif, etc.).
     
  5. Sometimes when processing an image the progress bar does not show any progress until finished at which point it jumps to 100%.
     
  6. Sometimes when processing an image Windows displays a message that pfspawn.exe has crashed (on some versions of Windows it asks to send a problem report to Microsoft)
     
  7. Every time I process an image my whole screen turns black. Using Alt-tab or Ctrl-Esc will take me back to the windows screen
