Thumbnail View Issue

To fix Thumbnail View Problems with Windows ME/2000/XP only.

Early Versions of 2.0 Pre-Release

Problem

After installing PhotoFlair® 2.0 Pre-Release it associated itself with a number of common image file extensions (i.e. .bmp, jpg, and .tif)

When uninstalling or upgrading to Version 2.0.1 it would remove the file associations and cause the Thumbnail view in Windows Explorer and the File Open dialog box to function improperly.

Solution

  1. Please print the following instructions for reference before implementing step 2.

  2. Click on the following link to download file [ie_repair.bat (4K)]:
    Click to run the Internet Explorer Repair Tool 

  3. On the download dialog box choose to "Open it from its current location".

  4. Immediately after download has been completed, a DOS console will appear along with the Explorer Repair tool.

  5. You may close the DOS console by clicking on the "X" in the upper right corner.

  6. On the Explorer repair tool Select "Repair Internet Explorer".

  7. On the next dialog box, you will need to select "Yes" to confirm that you do in fact want to run the repair tool to fix the thumbnail view problem, and then click "OK".

  8. After the tool has completed you will prompted to reboot your computer. You will need to reboot before the thumbnail view will be restored.
